As you know I recently visited your offices at 133 Castlereagh Street, Sydney and sold some gold and silver items. I wish to comment on the service I received.

I had previously sold similar items to a well known coin dealer ( I.S Wright ) who I presumed would show courtesy and honesty to a customer. Instead I was treated with indifference bordering on rudeness and due to circumstances sold the items far below a fair price. The attitude was very much if you don't like it we don't give a damn, go some place else.

The next day your I came across your company name on the internet and decided to try to get at least some decent customer service even if no better prices. To be honest I was not expecting much better than before on either count.

I was immensely pleased to be greeted in a friendly manner, have the pricing structure explained, and have no pressure to sell but just to be able to make up my own mind to sell or not as I wished. The fact that the price offered was very fair made the whole experience very positive.

Suffice it to say I have been back a second time with items to sell and have received the same friendly and professional service with a fair and fully explained pricing structure.

I for one have no hesitation in recommending 'GoldCompany' as a company which combines fair pricing with friendly service. It is good to deal with an honest company.

Being of the older generation I imagined the experience would be conducted in a cold and business manner, however, I was greatly impressed with the warmth, charm and friendliness whilst the transaction was being completed. I was very hesitant in relation to sending gold through Australia Post due to the safety and security aspect of the transaction.

My parcel was sent through the Post Office on Tuesday by Registered Post. An email on Thursday confirmed receipt of my parcel. Friday, a phone call was received by The Gold Company informing me of the weight of 9 and 18 carat gold respectively and I acknowledged the amount for completion of the transaction.

I shopped around for a price on my unwanted gold items and was quoted $146.00 from a gold trader kiosk located in my local shopping centre. A Gold Party Business had quoted me up to 20% above this price. The GoldCompany contacted me 1 day after I sent the items in and quoted me $350.00. The Registered Post envelope and tracking system ensured my goods could be tracked and were in safe hands. I was paid on the day the quote was accepted.
